New Books

Yeah, I fail.

I bought two new books today.

So much for not starting any new ones before finishing the other ones.

I'm now also reading The Way of Shadows, by Brent Weeks, just for something darker to balance the fun/camp/humorous books I'm also reading.

Iiii am hopeless. But I was feeling anxious (about something work-related) and depressed (about limping all day because my stupid toe is swollen like a balloon) and needed to cheer myself up. So I bought books.

Hehehe! Nothing wrong with buying books for retail therapy... At least you'll read them.

When I'd had a bad week I went and purchased a bakelite (plastic) holder thingy for make up from the 20's... $100 (She first said it was $190, but could have it for $150, then she finally said $100) I've definately paid too much for it, but I don't care!

I also almost bought a 1920's sapphire and diamond ring (also from the 20s) at another store. $3200... Was sorely tempted but I restrained. I was almost convinced.

Argh!

Wow, okay, at least I haven't spent as much money as you. Well done on restraining yourself. I keep thinking it would be much more sensible to go to a library, but it really does make me feel better to buy something, to own something new... like having a new toy. ^_^;;
