Pictures of er... home?
Aug. 26th, 2004 01:16 pmWhen you first enter another country you tend to be entranced by the experience. You love being there and it's all so great.
After a while reality hits you and suddenly all the little things you're not familiar with get to you. Everything is suddenly too much, and the people annoy you for whatever reason, and you want to go home where everything is familiar.
But eventually you learn to accept things. You learn to accept the culture and country on its own values. The things that annoyed you so much become just another part of life, as do the things that enthralled you before. And you realise that people are just like you deep down, and that for all our differences, we're all just trying to live as best we can, and get by in life.
No reason I'm saying this now, I've just wanted to say that for a while.
