The best thing is that that article acknowledges the various differing theories justifying, or even attempting to deconstruct, slash fiction.
Not just one extreme feminist perspective. For example, the one that's essentially based around the view that slash gives women power over men. That one is based on a literary criticism that fanfic gives power to the writer, and expanding on that with feminist philosophy, it gives the female writer power over the male characters.
Yeah, I know, extremist ideas don't hold up well under criticism which targets their narrowness, but they do provoke thought, so I thought I'd mention that perspective anyway. Besides, I'd never heard of it before, so I though to was an interesting view.
