Doctor Who - no spoilers

Finally watched Doctor Who (End of Time, Part 1). Still not sure what I thought of it. I've always found Doctor Who to be such a bizarre and ridiculous show, but here I am seeking it out, not every episode, but regularly enough, so obviously I enjoy something about it, I just haven't figured out what yet.

Anyway, it was odd. Not a bad thing, just... odd.

And the Ood still look Lovecraftian to me.

You know what? I'm sure John Simm just relished his role in this. It certainly looked like he was having a lot of fun. The Master race? That is a terrible pun. Admittedly it made me laugh. Obviously I'm easily amused.

And as much as I didn't like Donna when I first saw her in The Runaway Bride she's grown on me. Now I just feel sorry for her. *snort* Noble-Temple.

Anyway, we'll see what happens next. Looking forward to it. I don't care what anyone says about RTD's writing ability, he's still a great story-teller.
