Esther's party
Sep. 26th, 2004 02:07 amI just got home, but I don't feel like going to bed yet, so I'm going to write down the memorable points of the day before I forget them:
- I love Australians... (in my half-dead state that word reads like Austr-Aliens; hm, I need sleep.) I love walking down the street and saying hello to all the people working in their front-yards, just being friendly. This one guy who lives two streets down, we always greet each other, or even have a short chat:
"Beautiful weather today."
"Yep, summer's on it's way!"
"Oh, definately."
Which is pretty much a daily occurence. Just a smile and a greeting as you pass people can make you feel good. ^_^
The busdriver was great too, cause I was feeling a little lost about where I was going, so I chatted to him and he was really helpful.
- Esther had a painting-party, which is such a cool idea. She had paints and canvases and we all got to paint something. So instead of conversation being the same old, "so how's uni?" the conversation was much more interesting, "so what are you painting?" One guy painted half his canvas yellow (he said it was the sun), and the other half blue (the ocean), and in between were lots of red dots (sun-burnt people).
- All my friends!! Aeriana looking more beautiful than ever, and Katie, who I utterly love to pieces... it was just nice to see everyone outside of class time. We had some great fun: Katie was feeling lonely after she broke up with her boyfriend, so she was giving us all kisses instead.
She was also rather drunk (of course):
Katie: "I'm more drunk than you!"
Esther: *starts dancing to background music*
Katie: "Ok, maybe not."
And while she was cuddling and making out with her friend Bec, she was also flirting with a guy via SMS.
And the critiques on each other's burps. :p This makes my friends sound like a bunch of hags, but really they're the most fun-loving, easy-going, relaxed women, and I love it.
Good times. ^_^
Ooh, but I'm hungry now... apart from the sushi, chips, cheesecake, and jelly-snakes, I haven't had anything to eat since 4pm. Need to find some food.
