Hofbräuhaus Sydney

Was going to update yesterday but it was too hot to do anything other than lie on the floor watching TV. ^^

I guess since everyone's on holidays I can write in whatever language I want since no one is reading this... not that I don't usually do that anyway... ^^;;

Im Hofbräuhaus gestern ist mir wieder mal aufgefallen wieviel besser ich mit Australiern verstehe, und wieviel Unterschied ich empfinde wenn ich mich mit Deutschen unterhalten will. Das war mein größtes Problem als ich nach Deutschland ging. Alle Anderen denken natürlich daß ich ganz normal funktionieren kann bloß weil ich Deutsche bin, as if there were some part of culture that came naturally to people, aber das kann ich halt nicht. Eigentlich bin ich social mehr Australierin als Deutsche...
Na ja, wie auch immer, hat totzdem Spaß gemacht.

Wir hatten alle "Christmas Crackers" auf den Tischen mit Witzen auf english und französisch, die wir für meinen Bruder überstetzen mußten.
- Ca fait dix jours que je n'ai pas dormi.
- Tu dois être très fatiguée?
- Non, je dor la nuit.

Ok, sad joke. Oh, und meine Mutter hat sich über die frechen Sprüche an den Wänder amüsiert. "Hätt Adam Löwenbräu getrunken - hätt Eva wohl umsonst gewunken!" Mich hat's mehr interesiert wieviele Japaner auch da waren... ich hät so gerne mitgelauscht, nur leider, leider saßen sie alle zu weit weg *heul*.

And I have to say I love watching Latin dancing. It always makes me think of sex. I know, music, dance, and sex have always gone hand in hand, so that's not surprising... but there's something so beautiful and passionate about watching latin dancing... Yes, I watched Tattersalls Ballroom Dancing finals yesterday.

Now I just have to install the CD burning software on my compy and I can start making some space on this machine again. ^^

Last night I had a dream that Közi was back in Sydney and giving out guitar picks to the fans. And now I read this: また、ピックを20枚は投げてた。 ka-yu throwing 20 picks into the audience!!

Yes, yes, I get it. I will never be able to get my hands on a j-rocker's guitar picks, therefore I shall now proceed to get depressed about it.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? I don't watch enough movies to make a fair judgement, though Pirates of the Caribbean was pretty good.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 21 and I was probably at home working out my timetable for uni.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Getting more creative writing done. Or learnt more Japanese maybe.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? I'm not telling what it was that almost had me in tears a few days ago. If you know me you'll know the things I feel passionately about anyway.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Aeriana, cause she's so damn cool!
