So, our connection finally decided to behave. It's gotten faster than it has been these past few days, thank goodnees. Maybe it just got tired of torturing and frustrating me? >.>
Now lets see how long it wants to be good for.

And I found that quote I was looking for!
It's about the American anthropologist and social theorist Franz Boas.
Boas uttered his last words, 'I have a new theory of race...' and before he could finish, collapsed and died in the arms of the person sitting next to him, Claude Lévi-Strauss.
(Lévi-Strauss was the famous French structural anthropologist who applied Saussure's theories of linguistics to anthropology.)

Happy days! ^_^

Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
From the fecund loins of Rum and Monkey.

Born with the name of Otto, you became Ludwig at the request of your grandfather, King Ludwig I, because you were born on his birthday. You became Crown Prince at the tender age of 3, and soon after stole a purse from a shop on the basis that everything in Bavaria belonged to you. Tragedy struck when your pet tortoise was taken away; relatives thought the six-year-old prince was too attached to it. Your childhood was lonely and formal. Once, you were prevented from beheading your younger brother by the timeous arrival of a court official. From the age of 14 you suffered from hallucinations.

Despite striking an imposing figure with your great height and good looks, your speeches were pompous to the point of incomprehensibility. You became even more of a recluse, often spending hours reading poetry in a seashell-shaped boat in your electrically-illuminated underground grotto.

You are most famous for building three fairytale castles - Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Herrenchiemsee - at tremendous public expense. Declared insane and confined to your bedroom by concerned (and embarrassed) subjects, you escaped on 13 June 1886, but were later found drowned with your physician in Lake Stamberg in mysterious circumstances.

He also, according to my host brother, used to ride through the countryside from one castle to the other, in the middle of the night, in the middle of Winter.

But thanks to the guy's strange passion for building castles I got to see Neuschwanstein and Linderhof when I was on exchange. Neuschwanstein is the most famous but he never finished any of his castles except for Linderhof, which was my favourite because it was quite cosy. The grounds of Linderhof were nice too, even though I was there in winter and the whole place was covered in snow.

Too hot!

Yes, another update.

It is currently 39 degrees Celcius in the shade (102 Fahrenheit). I just put a washcloth in the freezer since we have no such thing as air conditioning in this house. *wraps half-frozen washcloth around her neck before she melts*
