Just me whining about my workload...
Apr. 29th, 2003 06:06 pmAs if I didn't have enough work to do! I'm considering doing the accelerated English class which is being taught on top of our normal English classes. It's PHD level though, and SO much work! @_@
I'm already working myself like crazy! If I do this extra class, I'll be doing English at PHD level, Anthropology at 3rd year level (cause I decided to do that for myself), on top of my 2nd year Southeast Asian Studies and Philosophy classes (The uni won't let you do more than four subjects because they deem it too much for any student, so I'm on the maximum work limit and beyond).
I'm a second year student who came straight from school, but this is not a regular 2nd year course! @_@ Yes, I realise my workload is insanity, but I want to do it.
I never really worked much at school until my last year when I started caring about my marks, and now I'm finding I'm doing subjects where I expect from myself Distinctions and Credits at least. Where did this sudden studiousness come from?
Who are you and what did you do with Regi? This is not the girl I know.
lol. Accusing myself of kidnapping myself? I need help. ^^;;
I couldn't concentrate today at all. Chris was nice and bought me a coffee this morning (told you he was the best English teacher ever), so that woke me up, but I was still feeling spaced out all day. So much so that I didn't dare take painkillers against my period pains cause I thought I'd fall asleep or faint or be knocked out entirely, or something.
English was funny though. Tsubasa came to class with a mustache and goatee today, and when Chris was giving out our homework he told Tsubasa his extra homework on top of what we were doing for class.
Chris: And Tsubasa's homework is to read five different fairytales from five different cultures.
Tsubasa: [groans and lets his head fall onto his arms]
Brigit: Sir, You're working him too hard. You're not even giving him time to shave.
Everyone laughed at that, including Tsubasa, though he looked really embarrassed too. But Brigit just couldn't resist one of her smart comments.
*sigh* I want to do the accelerated class, but I'm going to be SO overworked!!!!
And I've decided I'm going to do my Philosophy essay on Emmanuel Kant after all. I have a bone to pick with him on his theory about aesthetics. I get to rant in an essay! ^_^ How many other subjects allow you to do this?
It's due on Friday and I haven't started, but then neither has the rest of the class.
